Paudwar
is one of remote village which is located in Myagdi district
westrn part of Nepal. In Nepal there are three kinds of school.
One up to five class is called primary level, class 6,7,8 called
lower secondary level and 9 & 10 class is secondary level. Lower
secondary level school war running in the village first. To get
secondary level education students had to go very far from here
about 3 hours walk per day. It was not easy task for rural
area's people to send their children for study as they also had
to face difficulties as most of villagers are poor. So we
established secondary school in 1998. Government gives
permission to run secondary school but doesn't support in
finance until school get permanant approval so we have to run
the school from private sector from our own sources. At least
there must be 4 teachers for secondary level and salary for
these teachers has to be paid by village's local sources on it's
own fund. To have income sources, school has been running
different programs such as yak breeding farm, campsite
programmes, cheese production programme. In the schools computer
science has been running as a optionas subject for students
which is rare in this district. We have managed to keep students
of class 9 & 10 and those students who come far from others
villages at hostel.
